Beauty tips and tricks: Vaseline

There are over a 100 things to do with Vaseline. You can use it if you have dry lips, or as a lipgloss. Put it on your lashes before you go to bed and they say your lashes will grow. Mix it with a lipstick to make a crème blush for your cheeks. You can also remove your eye-make-up with Vaseline. Or rub on split ends between haircuts. You can also use it to tame your unruly eyebrows. Another good tip is: if you have sensitve ears, put some Vaseline on your earrings before putting them in. This will eliminate the irritation. Rub it on your teeth and voila no lipstick stains on your smile. Place on pulse points before applying your perfume. It will last longer. It also makes your cuticles soft. And the last one: Massage in to elbows and heels to soften the cracked skin.

New: MAC lipstick Diva and Viva Glam ll

Hi! I just bought Diva and Viva Glam 2 yesterday. It took me so long to decide which one I would choose. I was thinking about Faux, Viva Glam 1, Verve or Sin too. But than I decided to choose Diva and Viva Glam 2. I have Velvet Teddy from MAC and Viva Glam 2 is a little bit similar but the finish is different and I really wanted a Viva Glam lipstick. I didn't had a good bordeaux red lipstick and Diva is the perfect one, my opinion. I really wanted a satin finish or matte. I'm not a big fan of lustre or amplified finish.

1. What do you hear when you are writing?
Not much, when I'm writing I'm very concentrating on what I want to write.

2. Do you have an appetite at the moment?
Yes I would love pizza I guess, with a lot of cheese..

3. When was the last time you were broken?
Hmm I think about a week a go. I was sick and I had a lot of pain so I was crying the whole day. Hate to be sick.

4. What do you prefer? 10 kids or none
That's a hard one, I love children but not many of them. But I want children later so I prefer 10 then.

5. Do you think you are too busy with your looks?
Nope, I love to do my make-up and stuff. Buy new stuff and create new looks. I love it.

6. What are you thinking right now?
 I'm thinking about buying a new MAC lipstick haha, but I don't know which one.

7. Are you always there for your friends?
Most of the time, I love to hang out with friends but I like quality time for myself too. If a friend needs me I'm there for them.

8. Who was the last person who saw you crying?
My boyfriend, when I was sick and he comforted me. He is always there for me, I love him!

9. What do you do when you are nervous?
I can't just sit down and do nothing, I have to walk or talk and if I sit my legs are shaking.

10. Is there someone who understands you all the time?
Yes and no, you can't understand someone every time I think. But most of the time my boyfriend Job and Fabienne understands me very good.

11. Do you have a reason to smile at this moment?
Yes, because I have so much fun doing this stuff for the blog and I really enjoy doing it.

12.Did someone ever told you they don't want to lose you?
Yes some people did, but especially my boyfriend.

13. Should you be happier if there was a rewind-botton?
Hmm, maybe sometimes. When I said something that hurt someone for example.

14. Do you tell your parents everything?
Nope, only if they ask for it.

15. Are you thinking more about the present or the future?
The present, I hate to think what is going to happen later in my life. I don't know why but it gives me a terrible feeling.

16. How many hours of sleep do you need?
I think 8 hours, but I love to sleep so if I sleep more that's fine with me haha.

17. Are you easy to hang out with?
I think so, I hate it when people make a lot of problems when it's not necessary.

18. What is the last thing you drink?
Ehm I think that's water. Because I need to drink 2L of water every day.




19. What kind of bed do you have?
I have a double bed, I have it a while now and it's so lovely.

20. Do people see you as a optimist or a pessimist?
I can be negative sometimes and sometimes I can be very positive. It's just in what mood I am. You have to ask other people how they see me haha..

21. With whoom did you sat in the car with last time? (family doesn't count).
I think that was with a friend of mine Nicole, she has her own car and she picked me up.

22. What movie did you saw last time in the cinema? And with who?
That was with Fabienne, we were wachting 'Gooische Vrouwen 2' a dutch movie.

Yes, a lot of people did..

I love pizza, or pasta. Also like donuts and candy. But I'm going to the gym and now I can't eat that stuff every day..

That was my mother, we had an argument but that's allright now.

American Apparel outfit

Hi guys! A while a go I bought an outfit from American Apparel and I'm so in love with it. It is very comfy but still very fashionable. It's a long pencil skirt and a crop top with long sleeves and a crew neckline. The fabric feels soft and it suits my body very well because of the stretch.

I bought it in Amsterdam with Fabienne. We were just fitting some clothes and I was trying this outfit. No intention of buying it. But when I tried it on I was in love. I asked Fabienne: what do you think about this? And she said wauw that's great! And that's when I bought my first American Apparel outfit.

Review: The Body Shop seaweed facial wash

Today a review about The Body Shop seaweed facial wash. You can use this facial wash if you have a combination/oily skin. Apply to damp skin and rinse. It's oil and soap free cleansing gel. It will remove impurities, make-up and excess oil and leaves skin feeling clean and fresh. It smells very good aswell! My skin is feeling soft and totally fresh if I used this product. I have a oily skin and I think this is a great product to use if you have a oily skin. You only have to use a little bit of this facial wash to clean your whole face!

The Body Shop has a whole line with seaweed. Like a toner, daycream, clay mask and a lot more. 

Fact: A pronounced moisturizing effect occurs through the use of seaweed on hair

Make-up for today: Natural

Primer: 

NYC smooth skin primer. Shade 684. Primer can be worn alone or under your foundation to extend it's wear. It minimizes my skin imperfections, lines and pores for a perfect complextion. My skin feels smooth, silky en moisturized. Enriched with vitamins to help protect from damaging effects of free radicals, Complexion looks luminous, natural and fresh. 

Concealer: 

Catrice camouflage cream 020. I always use concealer to camouflage my little pimpels and the dark circles under my eyes. I apply it with a brush to avoid bacteria. 

Foundation: 

MAC studio sculpt NW20. Already reviewed this one but it's a perfect teint for my skin so it looks very natural. It's very covering and I love the way it feels on my skin. 

Powder:

Loreal True Match R3/C3 Rose Beige. This is a creamy pouder with mineral pigments. It improves the look and feel soft on my skin. It let's the skin breathe. It mattifies and evens my skin tone. 

Highlighter: 

Soft and Gentle MAC. This is to shape my face and give it a little bit more glow. I use this in the middle of my nose and on my cheeks above and under the bronzer. Also a little bit on my chin and forehead. 

Bronzer: 

MAC Matte bronze, Also using this for shaping my face and give it some more color. I apply it with a special contour brush. I use this on my cheeks in the middle of the highlighter. If you put your lips together you see a line in your cheecks. Apply it in that line and you are for sure it's in the right line. I also apply it at the sides of my nose and on my jaws. 

Mascara: 

Loreal Volume Million Lashes so couture (black). It 'millionize' my lashes with the combination of: The high definition brush. It's fine and soft. it individually coats even the finest lashes. No clumping at all! They used a new formula with this mascara, enriched with precious silk and reduced wax. It makes all my lashes intense black. 

Brows: 

Catrice pensil 020 and Maybelline brow mascara medium brown. I bought the Maybelline brow mascara new. I was very curious about it. I will review it for you guys in a new post later. The brow mascara ensures that your brows stay in shape the whole day. It also gives your brows a natural look because it will fill them in very lightly. I use the Catrice pensil to make the shape of my brows perfect and after that I use a little bit concealer to make the brows looking fresh. 

Lipstick: 

MAC velvet teddy. I use this color for my lips because it's very natural. You can combine it with every outfit you want. It's a lovely mattified lipstick and it last very long. Just to make my natural look complete.

I'm an intern at a perfume store so i get to sniff a lot of fragrances haha. So i made a top 3 for men and women. 

Women: 

1. Lancome's la vie est belle (eau de parfum) 

Fun fact: did you know that the bottle is inspired by the smile of a woman?

The fragrance of joyful femininity and happiness. The fragrance that makes life more beautiful.

2. Yves Saint Laurents Black opium (eau de parfum) 

You might all know the super spicy "opium" 

I don't  like that fragrance at all. But they recently launched a new fragrance called "Black opium". This is a new, sweeter version and it smells amazing! 

The new fragrance announced as a rock'n'roll interpretation of the classic that should highlight the dark, mysterious side of YSL. 

Notes of coffee, present in large quantities, dominate the scent.

Additional accords: pink pepper, orange blossom, jasmine, vanilla, patchouli and cedar.

The perfume comes in the bottle designed as the last editions of the Opium collection. The bottle is dark and decorated with sequins that give a glam rock look. 

3. Giorgio Armani's Si (eau de parfum) 

This is a fresh, sweet fragrance.. I don't even know how to describe it.. I just love it. 

"The fragrance opens with notes of Sicilian Bergamot, Mandarin oil and Liquer de Cassis which is supported by a heart which bursts with Rose de Mai absolute, Neroli absolute and Egyptian Jasmine absolute. Warm undertones caress the unique chypre base notes of Patchouli oil intertwined with Blond Woods, amber and musky undertones known as Orcanox™. Finished with a sweet animalic accord of Vanille absolute which, gives this fragrance, longevity and an unforgettable sillage."

Men: 

1. Yves Saint Laurent's L'Homme (Parfum intense) 

I just love this fragrance for men. It just smells too good!

An ambery woody fragrance bursting with character, featuring sensual and vibrant leather accords. An orange blossom facet reinforced by profound, subtle cedar wood. I also really love the L'Homme eau de toilette and the L'Homme sport. 

2. Dior Homme eau de toilette

3. Dolce & Gabbana Intenso.

Dolce & Gabanna just launched two new perfumes: Dolce floral drops (for women) and Intenso (for men). And i am in LOVE. 

Dolce & Gabbana.. Good job! 

Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Floral drops: 

I always said "i like dolce but it's just too floral for me" but i love the new one, it's a little bit more fresh.

Intenso opens with luminous Aquatic notes and green accents of Basil. This fresh feeling is completed with notes of Marigold and Geranium.

'Triangle' Bikini H&M

Hi everyone! I just bought a new bikini and I'm so in love with it. You know those Triangle bikini's, they are so expensive and I don't want to spent a lot of money for just a bikini. Now I found a 'Triangle' Bikini at H&M. The top is a push up with padded cups. There are two colors, neon pink and grey. I bought the neon pink one because I love a bright color for a bikini. It's 89% polyester and 11% elastane.

Velvet Teddy, just a great nude color and it will match every outfit I wear. 

Wish List?

I would love to have Soar lipliner. But it's always out of stock so I hope I will get it one day. Also want to try Diva and Rebel lipstick.

Most expensive buy?

I bought the bronzer, soft and gentle highlighter, the brush and Amorous lipstick at the same time. It was 108 euros.. So that was a little bit expensive

Angela's Top 5 Foundations

Hi y'all! I want to share my top 5 foundations with you. I'm experimenting a lot with all kind of foundations. The best tint for my skin and if it's good for an oily skin too. Also it's very important to me that the foundation last long. I don't want to look in the mirror at the end of the day and see that my foundation is all gone. So here is my top 5 foundaton list!

Number 5: L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique CC Cream
I love this foundation because it's not feeling like a foundation, it's very lightweight. Love to wear it during the summer times. It's only makes my skin look a little bit orange, and that is something I don't want with my foundation! This CC cream is to cover the redness of your skin. It's not very covering because it's not a full foundation.

Number 4: Fit Me! Maybelline (120)
This was color 120 of the Maybelline Fit Me! line. The Fit me line was intended to fit all kind of skin tones. But my skin tone was in the middle of 115 en 120. This was a little bit dissapointing. But beside that it was a very covering foundation. I really liked the foundation because it's very light weighted and not sticky at all. I recommend the color 115 if you are looking for a pink undertone. The 120 has a yellow undertone. It's really sad that the shades didn't fit me but beside that it's a good and natural looking foundation! 

Number 3: Wake me up Rimmel London (100 ivory) 
Love this foundation, it's covering and it suits my skin tone. It's not a very heavy foundation but also not very lightweight. It's good to use if you have a oily skin. It will give your skin a radiant glow. My skin didn't looked very shiny so that's a good thing. The foundation smells very nice too, all Rimmel Londen Foundations has a good smell.

Number 2: Rimmel London Match Perfection (100 ivory)
Yes I love Rimmel London foundation. It's not very expensive and it's a good quality as well. This was the best foundation I found from Rimmel. The color matches my skin tone so good and you don't have that orange glow on your face. It's a lightweight and good covering foundation. A perfect match for my skin!

Number 1 M.A.C. Studio Sculpt (nw20)
I'm so in love with this M.A.C. Foundation! The quality is so good and yes a little bit expensive but it's worth it. They have so many different tints, and this one is perfect for me. It's on gel base and very good for a oily skin. M.A.C. doesn't use oil in their foundations so that's good as well. This foundation is also waterproof and last very long. The best foundation so far.

My experience with eye lash extensions

I finally decided to go back to my natural lashes again..  (Or i'm just gonnna wear the false lashes by Ardell) 

I've been wearing lash extensions since summer because it was very handy with the swimming and all because you won't have mascara running down your cheeks. 

Plus my own lashes are long but straight and no.. I can't get them curly, no matter what i use. I've tried everything. They just won't cooperate. 

Positive things about the extensions: 

- i love the way it looked, they just give your eyes more definition. 

- when you just woke up, you already look good because of them. 

- saves time while doing your make-up

- when you're swimming with friends, you still look good when you come out of the water while the others have black cheeks because of their mascara. 

Negatives:

- you can barely wear eyeliner because the lashes are annoying you. 

- you can't rub your eyes when they itch haha 

- it's expensive

- it's expensive

- it's expensive

You do need to "refill" your lashes every 4 weeks or sooner (depends on your own lashes) and that costs money.. A lot! 

I can't tell what the exact price is. Because there's a difference between the  salons. But i payed €50 for a new set and €25 or €30 to refill them. 

So i would recommend them if you don't mind spending the money on it. Because it does look gorgeous!

Hi y'all. Today a review about my favorite serum. It's from L'Oreal Paris and I love this serum!  

L'Oreal Paris did some research for the best formula for the perfect skin. LR 2412, a powerful correcting molecule, is the result of ten years of investigation into the optimization of the skin. The Skin Perfection serum works effectively on the visibility of pores and your first wrinkles and lines. It also keeps the redness of the skin under control. They produced 3 products for the Skin Perfection line. A serum, daycream and BB cream.

I love it because of the texture and my skin feels so soft after using this. This is because of the emulsion of the pearly luster. The package looks great too! Very colorful. It smells nice too, fresh and sweet. You can buy this serum in any drugstore for €16,99.


Apply the serum before you use your day/night cream. You can use the Skin Perfection daycream or any other daycream you prefer! 

Review: Estee Lauder daywear sheer tint

 

I'm going to talk about this Estee Lauder product. This is a tinted moisturizer.. No it's not like bb creams or something like that. This product is grey when it comes out of the tube and becomes one tint darker than your skintone once you've applied it on your face. 

It looks really natural and it gives you a healthy glow. 

Since i have a really pale face.. I like to wear foundation when summer's just getting started. 

Obviously that's not good.. It gets sticky and at the end of the day you look like crap because of the melted foundation sitting on your face. 

You also stay pale because the sun can't reach your face because of the extra layer you have on. 

This product is amazing! 

It makes you look tanned but it's just a day cream. So you'll actually get tanned because of the sun.
